How To Measure Your Ring Size

Method 1: Measure a Ring

Find a ring that fits comfortably on the finger you intend to wear your new ring on.
Measure the internal diameter of the ring, using a ruler or measuring tape. To do so, ensure you are using a ruler with millimeter (mm) measurements, then place your ring on top of the ruler and measure the inside of the circle – in other words, the part that is in contact with your finger.

Method 2: Measure your Finger

Cut a piece of string or paper to a length of around 10 centimetres (cm).
Wrap the paper or string around your finger at the point where the ring should sit. Pull so that the string fits comfortably around your finger - not too tight and not too loose.
Use a pen to mark the point where the end of the string or paper overlaps itself.
Lay the string or paper out against a ruler or tape measure, and measure the length (mm) from its end to the point you have marked with pen.
This measurement will give you your finger circumference. Use it to find your size using our Ring Size Chart below.

If measuring your actual finger, do so in the afternoon when your hands are warm for best results. Cut a String or Paper Strip about 20–25 cm long.
Place it just above your wrist bone. Adjust so it feels comfortable—not too tight, not too loose. Decide if you prefer a snug fit or a looser style.
Use a pen to mark where the ends meet.
Lay the string or paper flat and measure from the end to your mark using a ruler or tape measure.
